The facebook client that saved my fb live :-)

Oh telerik! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

A few weeks ago facebook decided to shift their profiles to a new version. While there definitely had been some stuff that had been improved for the better in that version, another functionality crucial for me went away: Filtering status messages based on the facebook list a contact is sorted in.

If you have a lot of connections, including fanpages etc. chances are that sometimes you’ll like to filter your newsfeed to just a few very close contacts or to a group of people who are connected through certain criteria. facebook offered this in their last version by clicking on Friends>[Friendlist]. Not perfect but good enough.

Now I have a much better way to handle this…

If f!acedeck is open, the top navigation offers you to select between the different type of data streams while the left hand side enables you to select lists, types of messages and Networks you’d like to see updates on:

If you’ll like to see activities of a single contact, the “people” section gives you exactly that:

A nice photo viewer and full facebook chat integration is also included.

The only thing that is still missing (and that would make this client my one and only go-to place for facebook) is to be able to select target lists for new status updates just as the facebook page is offering it via this dialog:

Was soll das hier?

Trotzdem interessant, glaubt Dirk...
